I'd like to set the record straight on a few things.
TJ and I have never quit Hans Gruber and the Die Hards. On May 5th we were blindsided with an ultimatum from Kurt, Rosey, and Chris that we either get the covid vaccine immediately, or we were out of the band. Within minutes, the other three members locked TJ and I out of our shared Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Bandcamp, CD Baby, email, and all spreadsheet/document accounts. We came to the unfortunate realization that the other three were taking all of our merchandise, content, and band money.
Even after being treated this way, TJ and I have attempted to work out an agreement so we could still release our final album we completed together in 2020. They informed us they would be re-recording over all of TJ’s vocals. At first they appeared willing to talk with me, but as soon as it became clear I was not willing to go along with cutting TJ out, my attempts to communicate have been met with complete silence for over three months.
I've kept this private up until now in the hopes that we could talk and something could be worked out that would be fair to everyone. As of now however, they are moving forward using my name and the band TJ and I created. Whatever else happens, I would love to see the album released with all the original members included. TJ and I put countless hours, significant money, and soul into creating it and we just want to give our fans and friends a chance to hear the album as it was originally intended. TJ and I are going to do whatever we can to make sure that happens. Regardless of how you feel about what we choose to put into our bodies, TJ and I deserve to be treated with respect for everything we put into this band the last seven years. Love or hate us, we are as much a part of this quirky little punk band as anyone, and TJ and I will continue to create music together.

Well things have gotten a bit nuts in the last few days, but we are still going ahead with the show tonight. This may end up being our last gig for awhile and it felt important to us to have one last hurrah together in case things really get weird. For those unable to make it, they will still be streaming the whole show online as always at:
Here's a message from Kick Butt Coffee:
"Hello friends I am sure ya'll are wondering the status of this show tonight is and I am proud to announce it is still on. We did have some cancellations. The Independents, Rebel Flesh, and Big News all had to drop due to complications from the Corona Virus. With that being said Sniper 66 will headline with support from Hans Gruber and The Die Hards, The Eviseraters, The Butts, and Despero. The show will be free with a tip jar for donations that will all go to bands on this bill. When we decided to go forward with this bill we wanted to give back to our community and fans one more time before the unknown. The bands wanted to rock one more time for all of you in this dark time. We have taken extra precautions cleaning our venue the last few days and we have plenty of hand sanitizer, soap, and TP available at our venue. If you are showing any symptoms of sickness PLEASE STAY HOME. This will more than likely be our last show for the foreseeable future unless things change dramatically. With that being said we invite anyone seeing this to come rock with us and these amazing bands before we take a hiatus on live shows. Buy some merch and support all of these awesome bands. We may all be out of action for a bit. Hope to see some of you out, but stay safe regardless.Doors at 7pm. Set times below:
Hans Gruber 10:15pm
Sniper 66 11:15pm
Well Corona is official here and as you will all be soon quarantined into your bedroom, we here at Hans Gruber and the Die Hards wanted let you in on a few recent cyber appearances that are sure to keep you entertained:

Hey has anyone ever mentioned that our namesake Die Hard is actually a Christmas movie? Didn't think so, but now you know! We want to wish everyone a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year, this year has been quite a ride for us all. This wouldn't be possible (or at least not nearly as much fun) without all your support and enthusiasm so a big thank you to everyone, other than the globies, reptilian overlords, and people who think they're living in the zombie apocalypse but really are just assholes. A couple updates before we close out 2019:
Punk With Camera:
The first of our songs we recorded live in Houston with Punk With A Camera is now up. We did have to summon a certain Bio Exercist to help out with our performance, but now he won't leave us alone. Oh well.
Big thanks to Brandon, you can find more of his videos at:
New Years Eve Show:
Speaking of New Years, we'll be ringing in 2020 at Kickbutt Coffee! It's a hell of a lineup with a bunch of our friends and some great Texas bands. Come check it out if you're in the Austin area.
Ska Parade 30th Anniversary Tour:
Stoked and honored to be a part of this tour! We got the chance to meet up with Tazy Phyllips who runs the weekly Ska Parade show during our last California tour, and he has been working hard to put this all together. Can't wait to hit the road with the other ska bands in just a couple weeks! For more info about the tour and the radio show, head to
We've got a new music video! Had a lot of fun shooting the desert scenes in New Mexico during our last tour. And speaking of touring, we're kicking things off today as we head to El Paso and make our way west to California. Check out the tour dates below, we'll see ya there!
Today's the day! Our second full length album is now available and streaming all over the interwebs. Word is that NASA is even listening to it all the way from the ice wall at the edge of the world. Give it a listen and let us know what ya think!
And speaking of NASA, our science team has developed a realistic model of our reality embedded on this frisbee. Order one today and display your wokeness to all your friends (music included if you're into that sort of thing as well)
We'd love to give shout outs to Drew LeClair for making us sound beautiful and Kyle Armstrong for making the album artwork so awesome. Big thanks to our record label Paper + Plastick Records as well, it's been great working together to make this release happen. We'll be hitting the road in a few weeks again, hope to see you all soon!
So we have a new full-length album coming out soon and are excited to announce we'll be releasing it through Paper + Plastick Records! We put a lot of passion and hard work into getting this finished and can't wait to get it out to everyone. It's been great so far partnering up with Paper + Plastick and we'll have some more details coming soon.
In the meantime, head over to their Souncloud page and check out our first song called The Ballad of Burro the Man:
We also dug up this old promo video on.... you guessed it, VHS!
We'll be kicking off our tour tonight in Denton, see ya at the show!
We'll be starting our next tour a week from today! Excited to make our first trip up to Colorado, as well as returning to some familiar places to see some familiar faces (you know who you are ya crazy rapscallions).
Also, keep an eye out for some announcements regarding our next album. Perhaps maybe even a new tune? Who knows, stranger things have happened in this flat world of ours.
New Album Available now!
